BEAF x Mexicanos En Bournemouth

The focus of this autumn project was to bring the beauty and wonder of the traditional Mexican holiday, Día de los muertos/The Day of the Dead, right here to Bournemouth!

Did you catch the amazing dancing from the Mexicanos en Bournemouth outside B.A.D.?  Our fab photographer, Roz Pike captured the beautiful movement of the dancers and thanks to BBC South Today, you can see it again here!

You can still enjoy the brilliant Day of the Dead window exhibition at B.A.D. until November 26th. Big thanks to Jo Armitage, Elisa Ponce and the Mexican families for helping us create this stunning display.

And if that isn’t enough, our mates at TOSH are running creative workshops with many of the makers who are taking part in the market. Check them out HERE.

AN OUTSIDER'S CHRISTMAS
The Outsiders Project is having a Christmas get together on Saturday 11th December.

Come and join us for songs and stories you won’t hear at your local carol service.

Christmas trees are made of coat hangers, Santa arrives in a police van, turkey lands on your food tray like a brick.

Our artists meet monthly at the BAD theatre to try out new work. Come and join us and hear fresh new words about a tired old cliche.

Merry f****ing Christmas!

The feedback was 100% do it again, so we are!

Next up critically acclaimed LIMBO (2020).

'Omar is a promising young musician. Separated from his Syrian family, he is stuck on a remote Scottish island awaiting the fate of his asylum request.'

Our showing of Limbo will be accompanied by a pre-show screening of the 'Seeking Refuge' project, previously showcased in the BEAF 2021 Festival.
We will be joined by the project's curator, Caroline Beale Johnson, for a special introduction on this amazing project.
