Outdoor Pickleball Courts

Until the Snow Stays

Questions are being asked about when the nets will be taken down at the Tennis and Pickleball Courts in Hopkins Parks. The Streets & Parks Superintendent has given notice that the nets will be taken down when the first opportunity for snow appears in the forecast. Fortunately the last snow was quite temporary, so folks can continue to enjoy playing on the outdoor courts a little longer.

For indoor pickleball playing options, the Activity Center will not be available for some time, but you may be able to search for indoor courts at: Be sure to call ahead to a location, as many facilities may have limited building hours or may possibly be closed due to COVID.

Whimsical Writings for Well-Being

Join us at the top of each month with a Whimsical Writing prompt
to bring about a mindfulness through journaling.

As the wind whispers along the window sills, the cool weather slowly slips in, and the season of fall edges towards winter, what nostalgic thoughts are nudging forth at the top of your conscience? What feelings does the changing season elicit? What brings about a sense of comfort and warmth as you draw inward by gathering more indoors with your activities and thoughts?

To guide you in this
Whimsical Writing the weather rallies us to find a cozy corner and settle in for a time of reflection. Maybe you will grab a warm fleece blanket and curl up on the couch, or opt for sitting in your favorite rocker by the window as the last bit of sunlight peeks over the barren trees. Perhaps you are fortunate enough to have a crackling fire in the hearth to warm your toes by, while sipping a warm mug of cocoa. Wherever you find yourself getting comfortable for this month's Whimsical Writing, we hope this journaling prompt leads you to new inspiration and deeper conversations with family and friends.

Digging Deeper:  November is one of those times when we most often reflect on those things in our lives we are grateful for. Documenting our gratitude is such a powerful and concrete way to acknowledge our thoughts, and even more transcendent is passing along our gratitude by showering it upon others.
