Fall Fun with a Furry Friend

Kick up your heals, head for the trails, and soak in the sights, smells and flavors of the emerging fall season. At least, that is what this furry and friendly pup is suggesting, by taking up a game of fetch in the leaves, donning a smart sweater, and fully engaging in the fun of being outdoors enjoying a beautiful fall day.

We can all benefit from the subtle advice these furry friends offer us:  by encouraging us to get outdoors, take that walk, breath in the fresh air, be adventurous, take time to play (and take naps!), be a little carefree, have an occasional treat, and most of all make people smile!

Preparing for Fall

Seasonal Changes

  • Squirrels are preparing
  • School is starting
  • Sports teams are playing

With the onset of this new season we make plans to dig out our sweaters in preparation for the cooler weather. In what other ways are you preparing for your fall routine?

AARP offers great tips on making exercise a regular part of your schedule by building fitness into your routine.

The Hopkins Activity Center provides encouragement in reaching your fitness goals and to keep you socially connected. Make a list of this week's calendar of fitness and online meet-up events to fit into your healthy lifestyle plan.

Many Thanks

Thank you for the generosity of so many in supporting the Activity Center through donations, as we continue to operate remotely with virtual programs, classes and meet ups.
