Fun Explorations

It's good to be prepared before traveling by knowing what the weather conditions will be. Did you know that the WeatherBug website has Traffic Camera data that shows road conditions? One can even explore Beach Cams, City Skylines, Stadium Cams, and Cool Spots around the country, or sign up for helpful weather alerts.

A Tasty Treat

Cooking is chemistry! Bake a mug cake and explore the science of leavening with the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Connect to Learning

Tues, 1 pm, Industrial Production Key to Victory

National Museum of the Pacific War boasts rave reviews. See the interactive outdoor re-enactment battlefields, and hear an overview of key events that led to the United States entering WWII. Learn about the dramatic production differences between the U.S. and Japan that contributed to America's victory, leading to an eye opening realization about the differences in industrial production between American and Japan. Register here by 9 pm Monday for this informative virtual learning experience.

George Washington and the French and Indian War
Thur, 1 pm

A park ranger from Fort Necessity National Battlefield interacts with participants and uses George Washington’s writings to show how Washington’s ambition, hard work and experiences in the French and Indian War helped him mature into the famous man we all know today. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions.
*Remember to register 1 day prior to the Connect to Learning event!
