Beautiful You Devotional ~ September 2021 / Q3 Volume 2

Welcome back to the regular series of the Beautiful You Devotional. You’ll notice starting this month, we are separating the devotional into yearly quarters. September is actually the last month of Q3 of this year. The Volume # will mark each week of that quarter. This will allow us to archive the devotional in organized groups according to the quarter of each year which will make them easier for you to find on my website.

THE most transforming truth from God’s Word that brought me the most healing in my life was the revelation that God is never going to leave me. The world and our lives can be so unsettling and destabilizing, that our anxiety can go through the roof at times.

In my own life when certain events and physical problems got so chronic that I was in a constant state of anxiety every day, which only added to the physical problem, all I could offer God in prayer, was tears, questions, and desperation. I was holding on for dear life.

Medicine was not close to finding an answer or bringing relief and I began to despair. I knew in my mind what God had promised in His Word about healing, but my body was not coming into line. Talk about walking by faith. I felt so alone and isolated, even in my own house, that all I could do was cry out to the Lord and trust that He knew the state I was in and was working on my behalf.

In was there in my despair, that God met me and strengthened my heart with Isaiah 41:10. It became literal to me because I had to have God’s strength to physically walk, show up to lead worship at my church, take a shower or function in the smallest things most people take for granted. Oh how faithful God is. He is our only help. Our only strength and refuge!

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)

“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Maybe you are in a place of despair and anxiety today. I can’t fix the problem but I can declare to you the One Who can. There are times in life when we must suffer and I don’t have all the reasons why that is true, but I have better than that…..the Father Who will never leave you or forsake you in the midst of it.

Journal entries from my healing journey

This week’s journal entry is a video of a women’s conference spontaneous moment of singing, teaching, proclamation over you. I found this gem and wanted to share it. My prayer is that it will encourage you and bring you peace and help you know in the depths of your spirit that God will never leave you or release His hold on you!

Much love to you!
