Community Fund for Canada’s 150th Grant Intake Date:September 15, 2016 In collaboration with Community Foundation of Canada, SCF has $20,000 available in grant funds for projects for 2017 celebrating Canada’s 150th. Nonprofit groups located in the Shuswap which have a project that meets the Grant guide lines focused on building, inspiring and encouraging participation in community initiatives, activities, and a sense of belonging are invited to apply for a grant. Our Community Building - Matching Funds Program continues to be a great success. To date their has been $50,588 generated. SCF has $50,000 in funds available to be matched to the end of 2016. Please visit our website or call the office for more details on creating your fund.

On behalf of SCF and the Gorner family, we wish to thank Mark Bunz of Dinoflex for the recent donation to the Shane Gorner Memorial Endowment. This year the scholarship of $500 was awarded to a deserving student in School District 83.
