The Community Building - Matching Funds Program

Our Community Building - Matching Funds program is off to a wonderful start; with over $35,000 in donations matched, 3 funds amended and 6 new funds created!

Gifts to these funds are unrestricted, which means that donors entrust the Foundation with the allocation of the granting dollars. As a result, Community Building Funds are able to support a full range of charitable work. To learn more about this initiative click here or  contact us at the office: 250-832-5428 or by email at finance@shuswapfoundation.ca

Meet Our Directors

The Shuswap Community Foundation has 12 members. Each board member serves a three year term, with the terms of four directors expiring each year. Half of the directors are appointed by an “Appointment Committee” made up of the Mayors of Salmon Arm and Sicamous, the Dean of Okanagan College, the Chair of the Shuswap Hospital Foundation, a representative of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District and a member of the Board of School District 83.

Each edition of our E-newsletter, starting this month, will feature a small article on one of our Directors.

Shuswap and Area Non-Profit Organizations  Facebook Page

Recently SCF created a new Facebook page named the Shuswap and Area Non-Profit Organizations Facebook Page. This page was created to be utilized by Non-Profits in the Shuswap area to announce upcoming events, to help coordinate community events, to create a call for action, or to just let people know about your organizations. Our hope is to help build connections between registered charities, non-profit societies and volunteers. If you or someone you know is associated with a Non-Profit Organization please join and share this page. Click here to visit this page.
