ANNOUNCEMENTS

A note from our CAUS Facilities and Safety Officer --
On Wednesday, September 7th, Cowgill Hall will be inspected by VT's Environmental Health and Safety Services. One of the main violations found are extension cords being used. Virginia Fire Code does not allow extensions cords in government buildings. EHSS, Virginia Tech and CAUS prefer that you use a surge-protected power strip or plug your electronic device directly into the building outlet. Extension cords must be removed from the building in order to help us pass inspection.

Virginia Tech wishes all students, faculty and staff a safe and productive environment. Your participation helps us meet these important safety goals.

Thank you,

Brian Squibb, FMP
