Last year’s cultural exhibition, “An Exhibition of Cultures” was very well received by the community. The exhibition attracted visitors from inside and outside of the Virginia Tech community. As a result of the tremendous response, we are happy to initiate the second exhibition.
As you all know, at Virginia Tech we are very proud of the rich variety of multi-cultural and international experiences and perspectives that we all bring and can share. To celebrate our multi-cultural environment and learn more about each other, the College of Architecture and Urban Studies is organizing an exhibit of traditional clothing and accessories associated with New Year celebrations around the world. Items will be showcased in a week-long exhibition accentuated by a fashion show to be held during the opening reception.
The Deadline Registration is January 30th
The Exhibition will be held in the Art + Architecture Library February 13th-17th
Please share the traditional clothing, artifacts, accessories or garments associated with New Year from your culture and country by joining this exhibition. For more information, to submit traditional clothing, fabric, artifacts, accessories and garments for consideration to be included in the exhibition please visit the following link:
From all the submissions, a group of examples will be selected for the exhibition and if you are selected, you will receive an invitation to bring the traditional clothing and accessories examples by January 30th.
Thank you very much for the support.
