A+D Undergraduate Students:  Making an appointment with your academic advisor is easy.  We encourage you to schedule an appointment at any time during the semester if you need assistance.

In the lobby this week...
Wednesday - Friday  - The Lines of Douglas Darden: work + words
 An exhibition of drawings by the late Architect Douglas Darden will be on display in Cowgill Hall Lobby from November 4 – 6, 2015. The drawings comprise a suite of eleven prints donated by Allison Darden Collins to Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture + Design and drawings on loan from the private collection of David Lever.
To accompany the exhibition, a series of presentations given by invited guests and architecture faculty on the life and work of Douglas Darden will take place at the following times and locations:
Thursday, November 5th
2pm | Hancock, Room 100
Presentation by Dave Dugas
Friday, November 6th
3pm | Cowgill Hall, Room 300
Presentations by Marc Neveu, Ben Ledbetter, David Lever, Paul Emmons, Berrin Terim, Patrick Doan
The exhibition and presentations continue the conversation on the work of Douglas Darden begun at Virginia Tech’s Washington - Alexandria Architectural Campus on January 30, 2015.

Call for submissions - the editiorial board of Lunch, the UVA School of Architecture's student-edited design research journal, is calling for abstracts for their eleventh issue, entitled Domestication. They are looking for brief articles and projects that ciritcally engage their topic. Abstracts are due November 30, 2016.

The Intern Architect is responsible for assisting the Architectural Services team by producing necessary drawings and graphics, assisting in management of projects, and assisting in the LEED certification of construction projects on campus. more
SOM is now accepting applications for their Women's Initiative Shadowing Internship. This internship is a four day program that will take place from January 5-8, 2016 for undergraduate and graduate design students. In order to considered, you'll need to submit a resume, cover letter and 3-4 work samples by November 16, 2015. more
