As a component of their final projects, student groups created short videos (4-5 minutes) and posters focusing on the practice of planning in a given decade for a city of their choice. The goal was to have them learn about and articulate the values imbued in these planning processes and the mode of planning predominantly used (comprehensive, equity, communicative, etc.). Students were allowed to focus broadly on the city as a whole or on specific projects, and chose to research Seoul (2000-2010), Detroit (1996-2006), Seattle (1996-2006), Richmond (1995-2005), Charleston (1980-1990), and the Research Triangle (1960-1970). flyer
