e-update #9

Dear readers,

GrowSmarter is entering a new phase as technical solutions are finalised and end-users - both tenants and other citizens - come into contact with the newly renovated buildings, urban mobility solutions, digital energy management platforms, and other innovations developed over the last three years.

Many of the solutions are now also being actively monitored, allowing us to gather valuable data in order to make accurate evaluations of each demonstration site.

We very much look forward to sharing our experiences, challenges and successes within the communities of our Lighthouse Cities of Stockholm, Cologne and Barcelona as well as with the broader European community. See our list of events at the bottom of this email to see where we will be next!

Best wishes,

Gustaf Landahl
Project Coordinator (City of Stockholm)

Stockholm blog #8: Inside a flow

Csíkszentmihályi, who defined the state of flow, has said, "If challenges are too low, one gets back to flow by increasing them. If challenges are too great, one can return to the flow state by learning new skills.". Even though this often refers to a personal state of mind, it could also be put in the context of the smart solutions implemented as a joint effort in Stockholm.
Mika Hakosalo is leading the implementation of the 12 solutions in Årsta, and will be providing you with updates from the Stockholm site.
