Storytime in the Garden Brings Library Programs to Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens

We just concluded an amazing partnership program with the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens (ANSG) that showcased the impact of your support in our community.  As part of our outreach efforts and our vision to create an inspired community, the Library Foundation organized a collaboration between the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach and the ANSG to present "Storytime in the Garden" each Friday in November.
We had a wonderful turnout of families each week for this unique outdoor storytime that engaged children in one of WPB's historic and culture attractions. Children's Librarians read books to children in this beautiful tropical garden and provided arts and crafts activities or other hands-on experiences. Guests were also able to tour the garden and experience the historic home, monumental garden sculptures, and two-acre tropical garden sanctuary...all for FREE!
Our Executive Director, Tami Lesser, also attended one of the events and was moved to observe firsthand how Foundation funding helps so many in our community. We were proud to bring these wonderful community-minded organizations together and look forward to continuing this partnership with more community outreach programming in the future.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Library Foundation during #GivingTuesday this year.  Your donations will go towards free gift books for children and teens for the 2020 Summer Reading Program at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.  The books are a reward for keeping up with their summer reading to help foster a love of reading and encourage children and teens to create a personal home library.

Your generous contributions will provide 322 gift books.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to provide 5000 gift books before the start of the Summer Reading Program in June.

If you missed our #GivingTuesday drive, you can continue to donate HERE.

We Continue to Build Partnerships

(Josephine duPont Bayard, Vicky Jackson, Debbie Calabria, Chris Murray, and Tami Lesser)
We recently gave a tour of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach to members of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, (Vicky Jackson, Grants Manager, and Debbie Calabria, Director of Membership and Special Events) showcasing this wonderful community center of creativity, learning and inspiration that serves thousands of people each day. As part of our community outreach efforts, we discussed philanthropic support for the wide array of free quality programs and services including arts, culture, education, literacy, technology, job training, health classes and more that enrich and strengthen our diverse community.
Golf Lovers Can Guess Birdies for Dollars

Just make a donation of $20 or more to our charity page on the American Honda Birdies for Children website and then guess the total number of birdies that will be made by the entire field in the four rounds of the 2020 Honda Classic golf tournament.  To help you along, they provide you with the total number of birdies made in each of the last ten tournaments.  110% of your donation will benefit the WPBLF.
Donate here to benefit the WPBLF and make your best birdies guess:

The last day to pledge is Wednesday, February 26th at 9:00 PM.
