Meet Tami R. Lesser
New Executive Director of the
West Palm Beach Library Foundation
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the West Palm Beach Library Foundation, I am delighted to announce that after an extensive search, we have hired Tami R. Lesser as the new Executive Director of the Foundation. Tami brings tremendous knowledge and experience as a leader, strategic thinker and fundraiser with a passion for building community and making our world a better place. An attorney by training, Tami was the founding CEO of Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches and most recently served as the Director of Major Gifts for American Jewish World Service in New York City. Tami received her B.A. cum laude in history from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. with honors from George Washington University School of Law. She is a second generation native of West Palm Beach.
Tami is dedicated to our mission and told me: “I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of the West Palm Beach Library Foundation. Today more than ever, we need the public library as a community builder and equalizer and as a vital resource for information for all people. I am inspired by the extraordinary programming and services the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach provides to our community and to society. I am passionate about our mission to ensure that the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach continues to be a first class library today and for future generations.”
We are thrilled Tami has joined our team at this time when the Foundation is ready to begin its next chapter. Tami brings a fresh perspective and approach on local relationship development. Feel free to reach out to Tami for information on how to get involved at 561-868-7793 or tlesser@WPBCityLibrary.org.
