Late July, 2018.
First Exhibit in Columbus at Hammond Harkins Galleries
Here's the real July newsletter.
During FRONT's opening weekend there was a whirlwind of activities, including my talk at the FRONT Porch (Thank you all of you who came to hear about Hear Her Sports Glenville!), the much-talked about gala, and installation of one of the Listening Stations at Cleveland's Main Public Library's downtown. The library was such a pleasure to work with. Big thanks to them for all the time they put in to get me set up properly with good wifi in the lobby. I learned that although much of the library looks like wood, it's actually painted steel, so not the best for internet strength.

Find the station in the same lobby where the Yinka Shonibare room is.

Overlying, Sculpture & Painting Exhibition in Columbus
I LOVE being back in the studio to prepare for an exhibition with Laura Bidwa at the Hammond Harkins Galleries in Columbus, Ohio. The way plaster copies detail amazes me every time I peel it away from the mold, whether that's a flat surface, fabric, plastic, or silicone. The studio house is lovely in the summer. It's shockingly well situated for cross breezes. I rarely get super hot and the plaster dries really fast!

Hear Her Sports Glenville is live.
Find the stories on iTunes, Spotify, through the website, and at physical listening stations.

New episodes will be posted each week through the end of September.
Each episode is 20 minutes or less.

I really like the Overcast podcast player.
How to get started:
🎤 Most listened to episode: Zumba with Felicia Wesley
🎤 Episode I’m currently thinking about: Basketball, school, & Glenville with Shavell because the episode brings up so many issues connected to girls and sports - education, being fiesty (or is it aggressive), and the value of women role models. I'm really taken by Shavell and her goals and attitude.
