More Thank you's!

A huge thank you to the Lucca family for the daily encouragement and gifts during the last 28 days of Dean's antibiotic. You were creative, fun and your deliveries helped Dean focus on something other than what he's missing out on!! xoxo

A great big thank you to the awesome team that Cycled for Life last weekend, our 4th year participating in this event - the ride was fun and challenging (for some of us) and wet! We love the team events and the camaraderie this team has. We would love to have you join us next year!
After spending the better part of the summer fighting a bacteria that required additional daily treatments, more diligence to the treatment timing and more patience from our family, we are very excited to let you know that the antibiotics successfully cleared the PA (pseudomonas aeruginosa) and we are back to a "normal" am and pm treatment schedule! WooHoo! At church last weekend, the worship was led by a visiting band (JHB) who reiterated the message that with Christianity, you're not promised it will be easy but you will have Christ to get through it. I say it often but sometimes it takes a reminder to actually listen to the words that come out of my own mouth. The band played one of their songs called I surrender which reminded me that even during the lows, God deserves our praise. Waiting for culture results can be daunting, and during those days of waiting the lyrics from the song constantly reminded me to be calm, trust that there is a master plan and to not wait for the highs to praise, take every opportunity "I won't wait for the mountain top, I'll claim you here. I surrender all to you."  What perfect news of a clear culture on Dean's first day of first grade. xo
