In this newsletter: details on Chillin' & Grillin' tickets for Sept 23, invitation to compete in the chili cook-off and cookie bake off and t-shirt and bracelet sales, upcoming ROL Academy of Jiu Jitsu picnic, 2 more #somethinglikethis stories and a request for prayers as four men take on Ironman Wisconsin this Sunday!!!
Say a prayer for these guys!  This Sunday Sept 10, Jim, Kevin, Mike and Kevin will take on their first Ironman! 140.6 miles of racing after 24+ intense weeks of training, nutrition, discipline, time management, motivation (aka group texting) and building relationships. For Jim, this idea began 9 years ago and I am beyond emotional to watch him and these 3 others attack this event. I am excited for all of the 13 kids among the 4 families to experience the day and recognize this was a team effort. They will be able to see how all the hardwork, training and perseverance can lead to a goal that each of them has been reaching towards. Swim Straight, Bike Smart and Run Strong guys!  We are so very proud! If you'd like to donate to the Ironmen as they raise money for the CFF, click here.

Dean shirts, handing out bracelets and letting others know how they can help those with CF. On top of the super awesome 45 min 5K for the littles, they won trophies for best team outfit and fastest team!  Thank you little ones with big hearts for doing #somethinglikethis
The ROL Academy of Jiu Jitsu (Orland Park) is hosting their Annual Picnic on Sept 16th at 2pm and have been so amazing to allow all proceeds from their t-shirt sales to go to Team Eat.Pray.Dean. We're so thankful they are part of the #somethinglikethis campaign and humbled by their generosity. Their picnic is open to anyone, so please check out the details here or stop in their academy and check out the classes for kids or adults.
