Knowledge Into Action Event Report - Available Now... 

The report on the proceedings of the Knowledge into Action event, held on February 14th 2019 in the LexIcon, Dun Laoghaire, jointly hosted by the DLR-Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Southside Partnership DLR, with funding from Healthy Ireland has now been released. International Social Prescribing Day March 14th 2019...

Southside Partnership DLR marked the world's first International Social Prescribing Day on March 14th 2019 by announcing that they are currently developing a Social Prescribing pilot in part of the DLR area with a special focus on Shankill, Ballybrack, Loughlinstown and Sallynoggin.

This new initiative will focus on supporting the health and wellbeing of people by helping them to connect with local, community-based activities and supports in their community, such as physical activity, art, community education, gardening and much more.

SCTN Courses this Spring
Managing Professional Boundaries - New Training Date -
May 14th 2019 !!
This term Southside Community Training Network will be running a FREE 1-day course on Managing Professional Boundaries at Stonebridge Community Centre. The training date has changed to May 14th 2019. The training will be running from 9.30am-4.30pm at Samuel Beckett Civic Centre in Ballyogan.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Southside Community Training Network in collaboration with the HSE will be running another 2-day ASIST training (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) on June 10th and 11th 2019 at Mounttown Community Facility.  If you are interested in this training please contact Lisa Sieger-Jamison at or phone

SafeTALK and Understanding Self-Harm Training - Coming Up... 

Southside Community Training Network will be running additional SafeTALK suicide alertness workshops as well as a 1-day course on 'Understanding Self-Harm' in conjunction with the HSE. Making Music Education Happen

Music Generation dlr is part of Music Generation, Ireland’s national performance music education programme initiated by Music Network and co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds and the Department of Education and Skills.

Locally, Music Generation is managed by dlr Music Education Partnership (MEP), led by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in partnership with Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board, TUSLA, Southside Partnership DLR, Blackrock Education Centre, IADT, UCD and Crosscare.

Become a Green Finger Champion

Learn how to compost at home and reduce food waste at this hands-on Masterclass in Sandyford Community Centre in conjunction with Environmental Protection Agency Ireland and DLR County Council.
