A New Chapter
We had an awesome 7 weeks back in the US introducing Abby to her family, visiting churches, and getting some rest. Now, we're back in South America as full-time missionaries serving at Calvary Chapel Bible College Peru, and are very excited to jump into the work God is doing here

When we arrived in the states we were greeted by our parents who are all first-time grandparents. It seemed we didn't hold Abigail much for the next couple weeks! It was so sweet to be around family, and watch Abby get showered with love over the next 7 weeks. We were often busy, but there were times of rest as well, and we really couldn't be happier with our time went back in the US.
Some of the highlights were getting to share all that the Lord has been doing in Peru with our home church Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg as well as other churches we are very close with like Calvary Chapel Ukiah and Bullhead City. I also really enjoyed the opportunity to go to youth camp with our church and teach several sessions to the kids, many of which Danielle and I once taught in Sunday School.
The biggest surprise for me was when my Pastor Kevin Green wanted to talk to me about becoming official missionaries of Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg. I was expecting that to some degree, but I wasn't expecting his decision to ordain me as a Calvary Chapel pastor. We had decided to serve the Lord in whatever way possible at CCBC Peru, and I wasn't considering being ordained at all. The Lord is faithful to accomplish what He wants as we serve Him. I then had the privilege of teaching Sunday morning at my home church as pastor, and we closed the day with a potluck and slideshow with our church family. It was a truly special day.
There were many more wonderful moments, and we praise the Lord for allowing us that time back home. Now we have been back in Peru for about 3 weeks, and the Lord is already doing great things!
We're back! And, we are happy be here. The Lord has called us away from our homes to serve Him in a forgeign country, and while we miss our families, we find great joy and peace being in the will of God and doing what we love.
There is never a shortage of things to do at CCBC Peru. We have a wonderful staff to work with, and 20 new students this semester eager to learn the Word of God and reach out with the Gospel.
Our days have been filled with translation, teaching, discipleship, outreach preparation, planning CCBC's tour of Machu Picchu, and helping with general administration and leadership. As well as raising our 4 month old in a foreign country.
One of my favorite parts to the semester has been teaching and interacting in our weekly men's home fellowship. It is a time were I have been able to teach, but also really pour into the new group of students, and they really are an awesome group of guys.
We also recently had our first Bible College outreach and it was amazing! We handed the planning over to one of our 3rd semester students and the whole student body came together to plan and execute an amazing outreach to over 200 children in Cajamarca. The Lord was glorified and many hearts were touched!
Danielle and I had been planning to go, but our good friends Matt and Ivy Carver's son Mattias decided to come into this world 2 weeks early. He came so quickly that he was born in the car outside of the hospital! We stayed home and watched
their 2 year old, took care of the campus, and cooked dinner for all the students returning from the outreach. Danielle had Abby strapped on with an apron covering up so she could cook and watch the bay at the same time. What a women!!

Prayer Requests:

-Water. We are in the process of hand-digging a new well. There have many times we have had no water since we have been back, but currently we are at about 100 ft. deep with the well, and seem to be able sustain the campus with about 50 people now. We would like to dig deeper and we hope to be able to provide enough water for what will be full capacity of around 150 people in the future.

- Wisdom. There are so many decisions to be made as we continue to build and develop this Bible College. Please pray that the Lord would give us wisdom and that we would depend upon Him.

- Carver Family. In the last week or so they have had their toddler in the ER, given birth to their son in the car, and then were ran off the road with their children in the car by a semi. Now, they have to go through the citizenship process with their newborn. Please keep them lifted up in prayer!

- Heather. We are so blessed to have Danielle's sister with us for the next 3 months. She arrived yesterday, and we are praying that she has an amazing experience in Peru as she helps with Abby and serves at the Bible College. Please pray that the Lord would use her and grow her beyond her wildest dreams!

Thank you so much of praying!
Thank you for praying and supporting our family as we serve on the mission field at CCBC Peru. May the Lord greatly bless you!

With love, the Kilgus Family
