The World of
Game Design

“Only a mind free of impediments is capable of grasping the chaotic beauty of the world.” – Assassin’s Creed

All of us, at some point in time, have been obsessed with playing video games. Racing, action, adventure, strategy, sports, puzzles, dice games... there was always something in store enticing enough for us to just leave everything and play!

There are several aspects as to why the ‘craving’ to play video games comes naturally to humans. Some people enjoy the escapism that these games offer, some enjoy living events of the past or future, some like being the wizard of magical kingdoms, while some enjoy letting their imagination run wild amidst the breathtaking visuals.

Here’s presenting you this week’s designletter issue that talks about what Game Design really is, how it all started, and what’s it going to look like in years to come.

Thanks, vijay verma.

Did you know?

Pac-Man is believed to be one of the most influential video games ever made. Not only did Pac-Man establish the maze chase genre, it was one of the first games to give characters individual personalities, it appealed to female audiences in a way that hadn’t been seen before and was one of gaming’s first licensing success stories.
