The long, narrow path...
Jesus said, "I tell you with certainty, there is no one who has left his home, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, or fields because of me and the gospel who will not receive a hundred times as much here in this world—homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields, along with persecution—as well as eternal life in the age to come. But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first."
-- Mark 10:29-31 ISV
I have often reflected on these words of Jesus which are recorded in three of the four gospel accounts. What did Jesus mean when he said that those who left everything for Him would receive 100-fold? During our years as missionaries, we’ve seen God grow families, build houses, and raise up an amazing network of adopted mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters. As we have developed relationships with you, our supporters, we realize how God has increased our family 100-fold. We are blessed to count you as family! In this year alone, we were able to purchase the long-awaited property for the church in La Pitahaya and rent both a house and a store-front for the mission in Tarimoro. Although we did leave a lot behind for Christ and for the gospel, we see God’s hand multiplying and increasing in every area. In tangible ways, God is using each of you, through your prayers and financial support, for the work here in Mexico. Thank you!!!
