Tommy & Teresa Harris with Faithful Servants International Ministries in Uganda emailed the following:  “Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! We want to thank you once again for the toys. We also wanted to share with you some of the precious children that are enjoying the toys. Thank you and God bless."
THANK YOU to all SmileMakers.
Your fun making toys shows on smiles of children.
Paul and Janice Wiggins along with Bob Quall are members of a medical mission team that goes to Kenya. They write: “On our first trip to East Africa, the kids were just as interesting to see as the animals were. The kids were inquisitive, outgoing, and wanted to make contact with us. If we had a little candy in our pockets, they were our instant friends. Seeing what the kids were using as toys made us immediately sad. One kid had a plastic cup lid, with a stick, driving it as a “car.” Just before a trip to Kenya two years ago, a volunteer from Toys for God’s Kids gave us 200 cars to take. We passed them out to kids we saw in our rural mobile clinics. Watching the kids’ faces when we gave them a beautiful little wooden car was the best sight. We have given candy, we have played games, we have given medicine, but nothing like giving these cars has been as much fun for us to give.  The joy you create is priceless. Thank you for your ministry, and for allowing us to share it.”

Dr. Liliane Brantes, DDS, writes to tell us that after providing dental treatment for 30 little girls from Hope Home for abandoned children, we were honored to be invited to their home for dinner. They treated us to songs and traditional Nepali dances and of course, I brought the cars along. Another evening made even more special thanks to Toys for God's Kids. TFGK is bringing just as much joy to the kids as they are to the volunteers. Thanks a million.
Later we saw 101 children at the dental clinic, and it was exhausting. The clinic is situated in a general-purpose room at a boarding school for destitute Himalayan children. I spotted a tiny boy playing with a stick in the schoolyard. So I offered him a car. He was beaming from ear to ear! He was so happy.
And somehow, within seconds, more and more boys showed up, hands outstretched, big smiles. We even had to organize a distribution line. I had a blast giving your cars away. Thank you for making such a special moment happen for so many children, so far away from you.
Toys for God's Kids is the best!
Trekking the Himalayas with Dr. Liliane Brantes, DDS
After giving away hundreds of little cars at our clinic in Kathmandu, our group of volunteers decided to come trekking the Everest area of Nepal. And we brought cars! We have hiked for four days now—there are no cars (except TFGK cars), and everything is carried up here by people, yaks, and mules. A very hard life, everyone works, including children. The TFGK cars bring such smiles.
