Career Advice from a Pro - Rachell Smith (judging 'People')
Hi Rachell, is there a piece of advice that you wish someone had told you sooner in your photography career?
Yes, lots in fact, but the main ones being: to slow down and to think about who your potential clients are and to get the right contacts. Patience is very important as you might only get one or two chances to meet with a particular person and if you go in unprepared (or too soon) you could delay your career.
Also, get a good balance between shooting and spending time doing the business side of things, both are just as important.
Full interview with Rachell next week!
