Three Thefts In A Row Caused An Estimated Loss of $25,000 In Property, Sales & Human Resources
COVID 19-Ramadan Response: About $45,000 Worth Of Food, Cash Assistance, Rent, Utilities, Household Items, Masks, Soaps, Cleaning Supplies & More Have Been Distributed Since March
We hope that those of you who celebrate Eid had a wonderful one. As we were celebrating Eid and were trying to recover from our Eid pantry and two break ins on Monday, someone broke into our MY Deah's a third time within 15 days, literally forcing us to close the store until the security measures are being taken care of and we have money to make up for our losses. We have filed claims and waiting on them now.
We are heartbroken as we temporarily closed the doors of MY Deah's due to the damages and business losses (about $25,000) we have incurred in last 15 days because of three break ins. There will be no pantry on this Saturday. With the Grace of God, if the community will help us, we are hoping to open our doors again in the following week or so.
Our pantry is the main weekly source for more than 200 families in the Hilltop area. During COVID-19 Pandemic, we have been serving 250-300 families weekly. We can't imagine closing our doors to our clients and hence we are reaching out to our community to help us with this. We hope our community will not let us down. Please donate generously and help us keep our doors open to the families who need us the most at this difficult time. .

How Do You Protect & Empower Your Children and Family?
$11 For Today And $11 For Eleven
As we have concluded Ramadan and have been back to normal days of moderate prayers and less spiritual activities, here is a way for you to keep your children, your loved ones protected from all kinds of evil.
Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said, “There is no day in which the slaves rise in the morning except that two angels descend; one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate the one who spends.' The other angel says, 'O Allah! Destroy the wealth of the one who is stingy.'” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
It is also confirmed that charity repels calamities, as stated in the hadeeth, “Doing good (to the people) protects one from misfortunes, secret charity extinguishes the anger of the Lord, and keeping ties with kinship increases one’s life span.” [At-Tabaraani - Al-Albaani classified it as hasan (good)]
Also, Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said, “Doing good (to the people) protects one from misfortunes, calamities, and destruction; and the people of goodness in this worldly life will be the people of goodness in the Hereafter.” [Al-Albaani classified it as saheeh (sound)]
Therefore, we recommend that you to Take Two Actions Today:
First: Donate $11 or more today. This will help us reach our urgent goal:
Second: SHEDULE A MONTHLY PAYMENT OF $11 or more for the next 11 months.
It will cost you less than a pizza, but it will help us sustain and serve hundreds of children and families until the next Ramadan, inshaAllah.
