In The Face Of Terrorism, We Stand United In Love, Solidarity & Peace! One Nation under God, Indivisible, With Justice and Liberty For All
Yesterday was a long, sad day as we heard and seen the brutal murder of 49 Muslims in two different mosques in New Zealand. The murderer played music and live streamed the killing as if he was playing live video game. Like all conscious people around the world, we are heart broken and shaken by this horrible murder of our dear brothers, sisters and children.
May God have mercy on the departed souls and console their families the best. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raajiun. To God we belong to Him we return.
Such terrorists think that by killing us in our faith places and on the streets and by live streaming such killings, they will scare us away. They think they can get rid of all non-white people by such tactics, but they don't know us yet. We have a loud and clear message for them: WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
Our Community, Muslims and non-Muslims; Our Friends, white, brown, black, yellow, all colors, all ethnicities remain united and firmed against hate, bigotry and violence against all kinds of people.
WE REJECT IT.
WE DENOUNCE IT.
WE REFUSE TO BACK DOWN.
WE STAND HERE IN SOLIDARITY AS ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH JUSTICE AND LIBERTY FOR ALL.
Yesterday drained us emotionally. Today we will try to recover. We will keep praying for the families and will stick close to our families and loved ones. Tomorrow we will gather at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus to hold interfaith prayers and a rally to stop hate within our communities. Several organizations and activists groups have joined hands with us in organizing this event. We ask all our allies, friends, community members and leaders in Columbus to join us. Please message us if you would like to be a co-host of this event. Please share and invite your friends and family members.
If you are not in Columbus, please organize community discussions, rallies and events to console and comfort all of your neighbors who might have been very depressed and somewhat scared at the moment.
By the Grace of God, together we will turn the tables around and Love & Peace will prevail. InshaAllah.
Join all of us in Columbus on Sunday at 2 pm at the Statehouse. Please help spread the word.
