MY Project USA's Board Director Adam Miller Won Second Term As State Representative In Election 2018
Board Member Russell Harris Also Ran For State Representative
Congratulations to our Board Director, Mr. Adam Miller for his landslide victory in the Midterm election on Tuesday night. This will be his second term of representing Ohio District 17 in the State House. This district includes the main Hilltop area, Wedgewood community, and the Sullivant Avenue toward Franklinton. This is a challenging neighborhood with a lot of serious issues. In the past two years, Mr. Miller has helped several local organizations including ours through his pro-bono services and other resources to uplift the district in so many ways. We wish Mr. Miller all the best in his second term.
Another Board Director and the Chair of our Soccer Advisory Board, Mr. Russell Harris also ran for the seat of State Representative of District 23. This was one of the most gerrymandered districts in Franklin County that included parts of Hilliard, Galloway, and Grove City. Unfortunately, Mr. Harris did not win this election and after seeing the results of the statewide elections, he thinks it is a blessing. He could continue investing in his districts and beyond in the programs like Wedgewood Soccer and more without getting trapped into a statehouse led by the opposite party. We congratulate him for his courage and leadership. We are super grateful for his presence and tireless work at MY Project USA in building our soccer program that aims to serve 500 or more kids by next year.
