For You:

A Message From First Year Experience's
Pegasus Parent Program

Spring semester is in full swing and campus is lively again! From groups of students studying outside near our Reflecting Pond, crowds at our Spring athletic games, or student organizations back to hosting meetings and events, 2023 continues to be off to a great start at UCF!

You helped your student to successfully launch their new semester last month and may be thinking, “so, what do I do now?”

Students need continuous support to get settled in and to reach their goals during their college journey. In fact, data from our most-recent Family & Guest Orientation attendees shows that the majority of parents and supporters are actively seeking ways to best support their student, whether it be learning about academic support resources offered, what mental health services are available, knowing the important dates of each semester, conversations topics, and much more. This is great! And we are here to help YOU head in the right direction.

This month, there are a few items you might want to check in with your student about. February can bring academic hardship as they navigate a new semester of classes, Summer and Fall registration is around the corner, and planning for next year's housing accommodations is crucial. Our featured article (linked below) is full of helpful conversation topics and resources to help with these things!

In addition, Pegasus Parent Program has big plans for Valentine's Day this year! Until Friday, February 3, you can submit some words of love to your student and we'll help get the message to them on the big day. But shhhhh - it's a surprise! Let’s keep this between us for now 😉 Also starting from this month, you can participate in Family Trivia, a monthly trivia competition for subscribers. Don't miss a chance to win free UCF goodies!

We hope you enjoy this month's Pegasus Parent Post and Happy (early) Valentine's Day!
