Strengthening Communities, Leading With Compassion: Ginsburg Family Foundation Awards $40 Million to UCF, Nemours, Holocaust Museum

The award includes a $5 million gift to UCF, which will be used to establish a center focused on fostering inclusion, building cross-cultural and global competencies, and serving the local community.

Explore Majors with the Knights Major Exploration and Transition Center

Is your student Undeclared or unsure of their current major? If so, they are in good company! According to the National Center for Education, 75% of college students begin college undecided or change their major at least one time before they graduate. UCF’s Knights Major Exploration and Transition Center (KMETC) empowers and supports all Undeclared and major exploring students during their exploration process.

Think 30 Scholarship Helps Students Graduate in Four Years

Did you know that students who complete at least 30 credit hours each academic year usually graduate in four years and are eligible for a $500 scholarship?

The Division of Student Learning and Academic Success will award $100,000 in scholarships to UCF students to help them pay for tuition and educational expenses. 

Applications are accepted between March 1 and May 13, 2022.

It’s Time to Get Ready to Register for Classes

Does your student know when to register for Summer and Fall 2022 classes? If they don't, let them know that they can check their myUCF portal for their
appointment time. 

To prepare for registration, students should make an appointment with their academic advisors to review their progress toward graduation and use mySchedule Builder to plan their ideal class schedule for Summer and Fall.

Encourage your student to visit the Summer/Fall 2022 Registration webpage for tips about registering on time, reducing stress, avoiding financial aid setbacks, gaining learning experiences like internships and other support tools that can be found all in one convenient place.

Summer Bridge and Enrichment Programs

Participating in a summer program can be a terrific boost for an incoming college student. They gain academic, social and personal confidence and are better prepared for the transition to college life. If your student is able to attend a summer program, look into the application process soon because many are competitive and space is limited. Many programs offer financial aid or a scholarship to help cover the cost.
