Research project on special measures decision-making - criminal law barrister participants

Dr Samantha Fairclough of Birmingham Law School needs some criminal law barristers to participate in a funded research study into special measures decision-making in Crown Court trials. She would like to interview practising criminal barristers to gain an insight into the factors relevant to decision-making around vulnerable witnesses (and defendants), special measures applications and other appropriate trial adjustments.

Interviews are expected to last 45-60mins and can be conducted face-to-face or virtually, in June, July or August.

Participation from practising lawyers enables academics to conduct impactful and cutting edge research which benefits all those involved in the criminal justice process.

If you are able to help, please contact
Samantha to arrange a time to be interviewed.
