A No Place Left Raleigh Update

When I returned to Houston In January after visiting home for the holidays last year, I knew quickly that something needed to change. I was excited that the last of my original team was heading overseas, but that meant that I needed to find a new team. I sought the Lord in prayer and I sought wise counsel on what to do. God answered my prayers and led me back to Raleigh, NC to join the No Place Left RDU team! It has been a joy to be in Raleigh again and I have been reflecting on God's faithfulness in 2019.

As I reflect, I have come to an even greater appreciation for each and every one of you who take any time at all to pray for the mission work that God has called me to! As I look back on all of the newsletters I have sent throughout the year, I realized that God has been answering your prayers!

Here's some quick updates on how God has answered the prayer requests that I sent throughout this year:
Way back at the beginning of the year, I asked you to pray for a trailer park that the North Houston team was reaching out to. I am happy to say that David (pictured above) and his wife Erin have been faithful to sow seeds there all year. God has brought a few people for them to disciple. They have saturated the area and now they are prayerfully considering where God wants them to reach out to next.
Throughout the year, I have asked you to pray for JV (pictured center-ish above). God continues to add to the church that meets in his bakery, True Vine (pictured above), and it has multiplied into several other child groups. They've even baptized a few new believers in the last month. JV is praying that God will give them a few grandchild groups in 2020!
It can be difficult to join a new team, but the RDU laborers have welcomed me with open arms. We pray and fast with and for one another, we have weekly leader lunches, we go out sharing the gospel together. It's been ridiculously encouraging. I look forward to continuing to fail forward with these folks as we keep trying to multiply disciples and churches around Raleigh-Durham!
Probably the most encouraging part of the work right now is Simple Church. I mentioned a few months ago that God allowed us to start a house church (now known as Simple Church). Helping to start a church so soon was more than I could have thought or imagined. But God keeps surprising us by adding more people to our number, growing us in depth as disciples and one family from our church just started another house church with Chinese students. I could not have guessed that any of this would happen so quickly.
God has been bringing Christians to Simple Church who want to be on mission, but what's even better is that He's been bringing us several new believers to disciple. This includes a single mom who overcame her addictions this year, a woman who almost died a few months ago and a college student from UNC. They are all hungry to follow Jesus and are starting to take steps towards sharing the gospel themselves. All of this has been exciting to watch!
So thanks for all the prayers everyone! Please keep it up because God is truly answering them!

Earlier this year, I prayed about whether or not to continue as a vocational missionary or to start doing the work bi-vocationally. God pretty quickly told me to keep going as I am. Because of this, I cannot express how grateful I am to all of you who have given financially to help make this mission work happen! All of you are partners in this work and I am so thankful for all of you.

I am able to work for e3 Partners in Raleigh-Durham (RDU) in the ministry that God has called me to because of financial supporters who give regularly.
