Some good fellowship after getting out in the community caring for people through prayer and sharing the good news of Jesus!
I appreciate everyone who has been praying because God is answering your prayers from the request I sent out in October! As our Wednesday night church gathering has been reaching out every Saturday over the last few weeks, God has been adding to our number and we have been seeing people like Chuck and others grow in Christ!
Meeting Aretha has been particularly encouraging. When we prayed for her and her husband in the community, she shared how she had 2 brain aneurysms and a stroke the month before. We were shocked to hear this as she didn't look 100% healthy, but she also didn't look like she almost died the month before!
Aretha being baptized!
From this health scare, Aretha realized that God spared her and that she needed to truly dedicate herself to Jesus instead of living for herself. Every week, she has been enthusiastic about our church coming over and studying the Word with her. We studied Acts 8:26-40 on baptism and she decided a week later that she needed to be baptized.
This past weekend we got to do just that! (video above) Surprisingly, while we were there, her 9-year-old daughter also said that she wanted to follow Jesus and get baptized. Not only that, but a new(ish) believer named Isaiah decided to come that day and was convicted that he has never been baptized. So our friend Ross baptized him as well! We started the day anticipating one baptism and ended up with three! Praise God for He is at work!
PRAY that we would walk with these folks in helping them grow in the Lord PRAY for Aretha's family as most of them are far from Jesus and Aretha wants them to be saved
...pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you. -- 2 Thessalonians 3:1
I am able to work for e3 Partners in Raleigh-Durham (RDU) in the ministry that God has called me to because of financial supporters who give regularly. I greatly appreciate all of these people and if God leads you to give towards the work He is doing in RDU (ongoing or one-time gifts are appreciated!) click through the e3 partners logo here:
