A No Place Left Raleigh Update

Leaders gathered to learn from God's Word and from what He is doing through one another. Our prayer is that He would continue to multiply disciples and churches until there is No Place Left.
In Acts 15:36 Paul and Barnabas agree that they should go back and visit the churches they started in their first missionary journey to check and see how they are doing. This past month, I decided to take a page out of their playbook and head back to Houston to check on the ministry work. It was such a blessing to catch up with so many dear brothers and sisters and hear of the triumphs and hardships that the Lord has brought them through over the last few months.

I headed back to Houston when there was a training retreat for leaders. The long days of the training were physically tiring, but spiritually uplifting. The work always seems to take a significant step forward after such trainings. This time was no different...

Since leaving Houston, I have kept up regular coaching calls with JV and David and I got to spend a lot of time with them at the training retreat. Here's some highlights of what God's done through them since the training:
  • David pulled together the leaders from North Houston and they agreed to meet monthly to pray, worship, encourage, and strategize with one another. The prayer is that this would create greater unity in the work and will accelerate the work forward
  • JV and some of his leaders were able to baptize a woman coming to one of their home churches just the other week.
  • David and his wife Erin have been prayer walking and sharing the gospel in the same neighborhood for the last year. A woman named Pinky from this neighborhood finally decided to go to church. David and Erin have shared with her many times
  • JV and his leaders met a new believer named Austin recently. He has enthusiastically been involved in gospel sharing, home churches and even leading some time of Bible study. Austin is growing, but still so young in the faith and JV and his friends were noticing some potentially sinful patterns. After conviction from the Holy Spirit, Austin confessed sin he had been hiding. The leaders were able to walk with him in this and point him to the forgiveness of Jesus and the freedom in repentance.
PRAY for the continued work in Houston, in particular for David and JV as God continues to raise them up as leaders

...pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you. -- 2 Thessalonians 3:1
I even got to hop in and do some training while at the retreat!
I am able to work for e3 Partners in Raleigh-Durham (RDU) in the ministry that God has called me to because of financial supporters who give regularly. I greatly appreciate all of these people and if God leads you to give towards the work He is doing in RDU (ongoing or one-time gifts are appreciated!) click through the e3 partners logo here:
