Boeken in de Bavo, Grote Markt Haarlem
November 12, 2016

Antiquariaat Van der Steur is joining the Boeken in de Bavo market on Saturday November 12 in the Bavo Church, Grote Markt, Haarlem (09.00 -17.00). Arine and her team look forward to see you there...

From our blog:

Our trainee Sterre van der Sijde is currently digitizing our classical literature and mythology. Sanne Hansler posted a very interesting blog about on of these beautiful books Fabulae Aesopi Graecè & Latinè which is oddly enough bound in a parchment manuscript page with rubrication (sentences in red ink) and decorated initials [click here for the blog].
The Amsterdam Antiquarian Book Fair was a great success. Lots of visitors went to the Marriott Hotel to admire the national and international book dealers and their books and prints.
And yes..., Arine's broken toe is healing, she can walk again.
We recently described this beautiful mezzotint on paper and painted over in oil by Philip Dawe (c. 1750-1791?). It shows the Waggoner and Fisherman, smoking. One holding a glass of beer, the other standing on the left, waving a pipe. Click here for more details.
Please like us on Facebook as we regularly post updates about our news, beautiful prints, books and documents.  It's a good way to stay in touch!
