AFDO Advocacy Forum 2018

Join us in celebrating advocacy - individual, systemic, and self-advocacy as we showcase a range of speakers sharing their stories, and most importantly, how to become a disability advocate.

We will be celebrating successful advocacy campaigns, and also looking at what still needs to change in today’s society to improve the lives of people with disability in Australia.

Date: Monday 22nd October 2018

Time: 11am - 3pm, followed by our AGM from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

Venue: Jasper Hotel, 489 Elizabeth St, Melb CBD

RSVP: 15th October 2018 via this link or by clicking on the button below.

AFDO’s Advocacy Forum will feature a Keynote Address, panel sessions with self-advocates, and presentations from individual and systemic advocacy representatives.

This Forum is an opportunity for people with disabilities, families and carers to listen to self-advocates as they speak about their journey, how they became a self-advocate, and why self-advocacy matters. This Forum will also include a range of speakers talking about systemic advocacy as they tell us why we need systemic disability advocacy organisations in Australia.
