A good way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Hello <<First Name>>,

Welcome to a special edition of Disability Loop eNews.

Our NDIS workshops are coming to Sydney!

There are two different series' of workshops:

  1. NDIS Understanding workshops - train the trainer style, so that you can deliver NDIS workshops directly to people with disability and families
  2. NDIS Opportunities workshops - for senior management and Board members of community organisations, to help you move smoothly through the 'transition to full Scheme'
We are funded to run these workshops for free for community information, capacity building, and advocacy organisations, who work directly to inform people with disability and their families about the NDIS.

We have received a high level of interest from a number of other people and organisations, who are not eligible to attend the limited free workshops.

Fortunately, we have been able to run another series of the NDIS Understanding workshops in Sydney - and these are open to anyone in the disability sector. Because we can't use our project money to run these workshops we are charging a modest fee to help us cover the costs. We'll also be running more of these in Melbourne soon - stay tuned to the next eNews in the next couple of days for details on that.

For now, check out the news articles below to find out what we have planned for Sydney.

We hope you find our website and eNews useful, helpful, and easy to use. We always welcome your feedback

Sydney NDIS Understanding workshops (free for eligible attendees)

The NDIS Understanding series are ‘Train the trainer’ workshops that provide the information and resources organisations need to inform people with disability and families about the NDIS. These are particularly important now that the ‘Participant Pathway’ is changing with the ‘transition to full Scheme’ in July 2016.

These workshops are ideal for Sydney based staff and volunteer trainers from community information, capacity building, and advocacy organisations who work directly to inform people with disability and their families.
