A good way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Hello <<First Name>>,

Welcome to another special edition of Disability Loop eNews!

For those of you who saw Issue #15, you'll know that we have
started to deliver NDIS workshops.

We're beginning in Melbourne, and then visiting all other Australian capital cities between June and October this year.

We are funded to run these free workshops for community information, capacity building, and advocacy organisations, who work directly to inform people with disability and their families about the NDIS.

But there are plenty more people and organisations we had a lot of interest from, who weren't eligible to attend the limited free workshops.

Fortunately, we have been able to run another series of the NDIS Understanding workshops in Melbourne - and these are open to anyone in the disability sector. Because we can't use our project money to run these workshops we are charging a modest fee to help us cover the costs.

Is this just for Melbourne?

We're not sure yet. If we get enough interest we may be able to run these in other capital cities too. We'll let you know in our eNews, and on our website, Facebook, and Twitter when we know more. You can also email
disabilityloop@afdo.org.au to sign up to the waiting list.

Learn more about these new workshops below.

We hope you find our website and eNews useful, helpful, and easy to use. We always welcome your feedback.

NDIS Train the Trainer workshops - special workshops for service providers and others from the disability sector

The NDIS ‘transition to full Scheme’ is upon us. Are you on top of the changes this will bring, including the brand-new changes to the NDIS Participant Pathway? Due to strong demand, the Australian Federation of Disability Organisation (AFDO) Disability Loop project is pleased to offer workshops for people in the disability sector who work directly to inform and support people with disability and their families.

These 6 half-day ‘Train the Trainer’ workshops will provide the up-to-date, detailed information and resources businesses and organisations need to better inform people with disability and families about the NDIS.

June 7, 8, 9
Melbourne
$250 per person
