A good way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Hello <<First Name>>,
Welcome to a special edition of Disability Loop eNews.
After a lot of research and writing, we're ready to begin delivering free NDIS workshops for community organisations.
The workshops are split into two different types:
NDIS Understanding workshops - train the trainer style, so that you can deliver NDIS workshops directly to people with disability and families
NDIS Opportunities workshops - for senior management and Board members of community organisations, to help you move smoothly through the 'transition to full Scheme'
Melbourne is first up, and after that for the next few months we will be travelling to all Australian capital cities to deliver more of these workshops. Keep an eye on our eNews to stay in the loop!
For now, check out the news articles below to find out what we have planned.
We hope you find our website and eNews useful, helpful, and easy to use. We always welcome your feedback.
AFDO announces free NDIS workshops for community organisations
The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) Disability Loop project is proud to announce that our free NDIS workshops for community organisations are now being rolled out nationally, starting in Melbourne.
The NDIS Understanding series are ‘Train the trainer’ workshops that provide the information and resources organisations need to inform people with disability and families about the NDIS. These are particularly important now that the ‘Participant Pathway’ is changing with the ‘transition to full Scheme’ in July 2016.
These workshops are ideal for Melbourne based staff and volunteer trainers from community information, capacity building, and advocacy organisations who work directly to inform people with disability and their families.
