A good way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Hello <<First Name>>,

We have good news!

The Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) part of the NDIS is getting closer, due to begin in July this year. Organisations with great ideas for national or ACT based projects are now able to apply for ILC grants. We're looking forward to seeing some great ideas and projects come to life or get the support they need as a result of this funding. See our news article below to get the details.

As many of you know, we are very fortunate to have received support through the Victorian Government's NDIS Transition Support Package to run our six NDIS Understanding workshops directly for people with disability and families across key regional areas in Victoria over the next few months.

First was Ballarat late last year, with Bendigo up next in late February, and Wodonga and Horsham in the next few months.

The Bendigo workshops booked out really quickly! It's great that people with disability and families from around Bendigo found out about our popular workshops, but bad news for the people who missed out.

Luckily, the Victorian Government has helped us out so that we can run these same workshops again in Bendigo, still free for people with disabilities and families!

Registrations for the second round of Bendigo workshops are now open.
See the article below for more information and to register.

We hope you find our website and eNews useful, helpful, and easy to use. We always welcome your feedback.

First NDIS ILC grant applications now open

Yesterday the NDIS announced that for the first time, ILC grant applications are now open.

There is an Australian Capital Territory (ACT) based grant, and a national grant. These are for organisations that can help people with disabilities and families in ways that are different to NDIS Plans.

Another round of Bendigo NDIS Understanding workshops for people with disability and families (March 22, 23, 24)

Because our first set of Bendigo workshops (February 20-22) booked out very quickly, we are going to run another set of the same workshops in March for anyone that missed out on a place.

Over three days from March 22, people with disability and their families in Bendigo will be able to get detailed information on the NDIS in a series of six free half-day workshops. These workshops will also be available in the coming months in Horsham and Wodonga.

What’s included?

  • Free entry for people with disability and their families
  • Complimentary food and drinks
  • Regular breaks
  • Accessible environments
  • Accessible materials
  • Excellent quality resources to take home with you

People are welcome to register for some or all of the workshops.

If your organisation would like to assist multiple people with disability and/or families to register, please contact Disability Loop at AFDO on (03) 9662 3324, or email before registering.
