MAY 18-20, 2017...SAVE THE DATE!
Greetings CWA,
It is difficult to grasp that summer is nearly at an end already, but at long last we have a confirmed time and place for the 2017 Annual Conference! We will be joining BlogPaws in Myrtle Beach, SC, May 18-20, 2017.
The invitation to partner again with BlogPaws was just recently extended to CWA and Council has approved it. The post Phoenix comments were very positive from those who attended, and we are all in agreement that another joint conference will continue to be beneficial to both groups.
Since the invitation came after the early bird post conference registration had expired, I am trying to garner another one just for CWA and for a very limited time. As yet there has been no response to that request, but I decided to go ahead and announce the 2017 conference date and venue now rather than wait any longer. If a discount does come through, the information will be posted immediately so as many of you as possible can take advantage of it.
The 2017 Conference Committee is in the making, co-chaired by Sharon Melnyk and me, and we will be looking for a few dedicated volunteers to help us with the details. Some of you have expressed an interest in becoming more involved with CWA, so maybe this is a good time to step up. If you have grant writing experience or great contacts in the pet industry, please contact me.
A steady stream of membership applications have been arriving in our inbox, many from contacts made in Phoenix. Growth is good and makes CWA stronger. It is not only bloggers who are signing up, but established authors as well. I hope everyone is extending a welcoming paw to each when our awesome secretary, Wendy, sends out those periodic list of new kittens.
