A message from Arden Moore, CWA's 2015 Contest Chair
We're so excited about the 2015 Cat Writers’ Association Communication Contest news that we hit the send button before we could polish the announcement. Our humble apologies!
So, please ignore the previous message (sent on May 12).
Here's the latest update on CWA's annual contest:
As members of the Cat Writers’ Association, this is your time to shine by submitting your meow-va-lous entries for the 2015 CWA Communication Contest.
I’m back as your contest chair after a three-year hiatus, and I'm delighted to introduce you to our talented committee members: Kim Campbell Thornton, JaneA Kelley, Dusty Rainbolt, Margie Lee Webb and Marci Kladnik. Thanks, team!
Together, we'll be doing our best to encourage you to enter, to help you understand the contest rules, and to celebrate those of you who are named finalists and winners at the 2016 conference.
Remember, you can’t win unless you enter!
Below, you'll find links to the 2015 CWA Communication Contest entry forms for regular and special award entries, as well as links to all contest rules and categories.

Here are the highlights:
- Eligible entries must be first published or broadcasted between June 16, 2014 and December 31, 2015.
- All entries must be postmarked no later than January 18, 2016 to be eligible.
- This contest is open to everyone, including non-CWA members, as long as their work qualifies under the contest rules.
- Volunteering pays off. We rely on CWA professional members to serve as judges for our regular categories. Please volunteer. CWA professional members who judge receive a discount. Instead of paying $15 per entry, the discounted rate for volunteers is $8.50 per entry – a nearly 50 percent savings!
- Categories "Online Magazine or Newsletter," and "Website" will be judged live (per the posted rules) from the entrant’s website between February 1 and February 29, 2016. For these categories only, submit your entry form with the URL included.
- This year’s contest includes 54 regular categories and at least 16 special awards (more may be added -- we will alert you).
