Code for Hawaii August Meetup
Wednesday, August 26th @ 6:30 PM at Box Jelly
If you're passionate about helping make Hawaii a better place, this is the meetup for you! :)
This week is the last Wednesday of the month, and we're planning on having another meeting at Box Jelly @ 6:30 PM. We're going to be having a special guest join us via Google Hangouts. Steve Spiker, commonly known as Spike, will be joining us to share insights and lessons learned from Open Oakland. If you're interested in Civic Tech, you definitely don't want to miss this!
Three important Code for Hawaii announcements:
- Let's all welcome Billy Meinke as the new Code for Hawaii Community Organizer! Billy was instrumental in coordinating our special guest this month.
- Box Jelly has graciously agreed to host our Weekly Hack Nights. As of right now, they'll begin the first week in September. We'll be holding them for the first two Wednesdays of every month.
- This will be the last monthly meeting on the last Wednesday of the month. A number of groups on island have coordinated and agreed to leave the last Wednesday for HTDC's Wet Ware Wednesdays. We'll be holding our monthly, in-person meeting on the third Wednesday of every month going forward.
We've updated our public calendar
with all the events above.
Hope to see you Wednesday! (And have a Happy Monday - ugh)
