SBP Data Transfer System

Information Bulletin No.6

 

Introduction


The SBP Data Transfer System (DTS v0.5) has now been up and running since 1 October 2016. Around 700 transactions have been recorded and more SBP Certificate Holders are starting to use the system, which is good news. Thank you to all involved.
 

Further feedback since ‘go live’


The most popular feedback received to date has been the request for a summary report of the claims made and/or passed on.

As mentioned in the last Bulletin we are working on delivering that functionality. However, we are sensitive to the issue of data confidentiality and we are taking time to get it right. That said, the expectation is that summary reports will be available from February 2017.

DTS v1.0 update – call for action


The DTS Working Group is developing the more detailed DTS v1.0, which will replace DTS v0.5 later this year.
 
It is the intent that DTS v1.0 will improve transparency and hence the credibility of the SBP certification system through providing a more robust tool for making and tracking claims.
 
We are currently working through the design phase and continue to find detailed design questions that need stakeholder feedback. If you are willing to be consulted on such matters, please email DTS@sustainablebiomasspartnership.org and let us know.
