SMP Hawaii News

Spring 2016

Aloha SMP team members and friends!

We are pleased to introduce you to our new seasonal statewide SMP Newsletter. The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP Hawaii) and our partners encourage you to read and share this newsletter with family, your network of friends, and your community groups throughout the state.

Our mission is to empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care scams, fraud, billing errors, and abuse.

This newsletter features articles of interest, national and local scams to be aware of, links to important websites, statewide events, pictures, fraud alerts, resources, and tips on prevention.

Scammers target people through the phone, mail, in-person, email, and even through television. It is our hope that this newsletter would give you the information and resources you need to protect yourself and prevent scams from happening.

Mahalo,

Laurie Paleka
SMP Hawaii Program Coordinator
