Year 2 of the Iowa Public Health Leadership Academy!
About the Academy
The Iowa Public Health Leadership Academy provides training and education to participants with an overarching goal of increasing public health knowledge to better protect and improve the health of Iowans. Iowa’s Board of Health (BOH) and Board of Supervisors (BOS) members are invited to participate. In its inaugural year, the Academy hosted six webinars on various public health topics. After year one’s success, the Academy will continue for a second year, starting in May 2021.
Curriculum
Four virtual sessions will take place on the first Monday of the month, from May 3-August 2, 2021. Sessions will be informative and collaborative with discussions and local examples of public health issues in Iowa. Each session will be from 6-7:30pm on the following dates:

*Session 3 will take place on the second Monday of July due to Independence Day
Registration
Only new participants need to register for Year Two. If you are a returning participant from Year One you will automatically be invited to Sessions. If you would like to discontinue your participation, you may choose to opt out. If you would like to opt out of Year 2, please email Erin Taber here.
