AWIR Local Chapters continue to expand with new chapters in Florida, Texas, and Georgia.
Yoga, munching, networking and relaxing with a cocktail highlighted the Florida local chapter meeting in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Sharing stories and eating geared up the Dallas, TX chapter. Talking, dining and learning about leadership styles enhanced the Atlanta, GA chapter.

WALK TO CURE ARTHRITIS
WALK to CURE ARTHRITIS is a national initiative for AWIR. Local chapters across AWIR will be walking with team members and the Arthritis Foundation during April and May to gain research funds for the CURE.

Women leaders are underrepresented in medicine. However, companies that have women leaders are more successful. With larger numbers of women in medicine and specifically rheumatology our voices must be heard. Therefore more women leaders are needed. AWIR has embraced this and knows that leadership skills can and will be enhanced with our membership.
