Completing a busy East Coast AWIR Meeting this newsletter is dedicated to highlights of the conference.
  • Opening the meeting with a diversity panel followed by the President’s Reception, all attendees, speakers, exhibitors and family dined and enjoyed fellowship.
  • Featuring a Leadership Panel at this conference a new passion for leading with tools to execute this, was exemplified by Drs. Wright, Barabino, Bathon, Hahn and Ms. Herron, Marangolo and Banque.
  • Awarding the first Lifetime Achievement Award from AWIR to Dr Bevra Hahn capped the Leadership panel.
  • Delivering Practice Development pearls Drs. Norton, Winkler and Melton strung these together with new practice development, practice alternatives and practice pitfalls.
  • Understanding clinical trials and the introduction of an AWIR clinical trial ensued with Drs. Friedman and Kerr respectively.
  • Enhancing our self awareness with a seminar on “Light Changes Everything” with Ms. Moore and Isler occurred.
  • Promoting Advocacy Drs Feldman and Melton updated attendees with a MACRA/ MIPs panel discussion.
  • For a thorough immersion into all things AWIR, networking events with food, beverage and dancing took place at the Founding Sisters' dinner, Poolside Networking and the Sunrise Walk.
