THANK YOU FOR ALL WE ACHIEVED We made 2020 the best it could be!
THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our end-of year Friends of Kennedy Heights campaign. The final numbers are still being tallied, but we passed our goal! We received more than $2,800 in online donations and mailed checks, and Bob Kemp has been making his rounds as safely as he can, bringing in more than $3,000! We know this year has been hard on so many, so we are deeply grateful for those who found any amount to give towards their neighborhood. These funds will be vital as we craft our neighborhood Plan and discovery opportunities for investment that are agreed upon by the community.
Mark your calendar for our next Virtual Community Council Meeting Tuesday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m.

KENNEDY AVENUE BRIDGE UPDATE Early February, Maybe Sooner!
Over the last month, the contractor has continued to build the concrete bridge railing and the tall concrete pillars that will support the new lights. They have also completed all of the new concrete driveways and sidewalks, have installed the pavement striping and traffic signs, and planted grass. The remaining sections of the concrete railing will be poured mid January, followed by a 1 week curing period and then final surface finishing of the concrete, installation of wiring and light fixtures, and overall site cleanup.
Based on this timeline, the road will reopen no later than Feb 1st. It is possible we could beat that date by a few days, but we don’t want to commit to that with the uncertainty associated with the weather. There will be several items that will remain incomplete until the spring, in part due to weather limitations. These items include painting the bridge, installing the fencing, and final restoration/tree planting in the park.
