YOU DESERVE TO BE HERE
Did you know that every resident of Kennedy Heights (over age 18) is automatically a member of the Community Council? You are our neighborhood, and you deserve the opportunity to shape its future. Make it a New Year's Resolution to join us every third Tuesday and be a part of developing our new Comprehensive Community Plan. Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 21.
A delicious free dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. while the Executive Board (pictured above) meets. Then, at 7:30 p.m. we will tackle a variety of public agenda items. Tentative agenda items include:
  • Meeting residents Jess and Eli and learning about their plans for a new community garden
  • Updates from Kennedy Heights Montessori and Woodford Paideia Elementary School
  • Reports from our local police and fire departments
  • Any relevant updates on the Comprehensive Community Plan
We can't wait to see you Tuesday!

OTHER EXCITING NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS: COME MEET YOUR GUARDIAN TEAM

January 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Construction of the new Guardian Savings Bank is underway at the corner of Montgomery Road and McHugh Place. The team at Guardian is excited and gearing up to become not just the newest business, but an active member in our neighborhood. The bank participated in our 14th Annual Winterfest on Dec. 7th. Next, they are sponsoring a speaker series leading up to the opening of the new branch.

The Speaker Series will be free and open to all Kennedy Heights and surrounding residents. They will be held at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center (Mansion), 6546 Montgomery Road, from 6-7 p.m. The sessions currently scheduled are:

  • Jan. 22, 2020: Meet Your Guardian Team
  • Feb. 26, 2020: Take Control of Your Financial Future.
  • March 25, 2020: The Joy of Home Ownership

Guardian is known for its low-cost, low-rate home mortgage loans. Guardian services most of the loans it originates so customers enjoy the benefits of a smaller, local lender as well as the ability to directly communicate with a neighborhood banker.

The Kennedy Heights Guardian branch will include all normal branch operations and a mortgage loan officer on site. Prior to opening, neighborhood residents will be made aware of job opportunities at the branch.  To learn more about Guardian’s home mortgage programs, please contact Steven Wuchnick via email or call 513-942-3500.
