CANCELLED
MARCH COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING

With much regret and reluctance, we are cancelling the March Community Council meeting due to concerns about public health and the COVID-19 outbreak.

As of this email, there are still no confirmed cases in the Cincinnati area (local overview available here). However, yesterday Governor DeWine announced that he and Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D. MPH, have recommended that large, indoor gatherings in Ohio be canceled or postponed due to the potential for exposure.

Right now, voluntary social distancing is the greatest tool we have to slow spread and keep the healthcare industry from being overwhelmed. If an event can be postponed, postponement is the most thoughtful thing to do.

We are disappointed to miss this opportunity for final updates on the Kennedy Ave Bridge Replacement. You are encouraged to send questions and concerns to us, or our City Project Manager, Brandon Lecrone. We will share updates as soon as we can, and ask that if you receive information that seems new, share it with the Council to be disseminated appropriately.

ELECTION DAY
Meanwhile, we hope that you remain committed to voting in the March 17th primary. Your vote is important, and the city has reassured the public that they are taking every precaution to make the voting process safe and clean for all.

If you feel you are vulnerable to the virus (respiratory illness, recently ill, immuno-compromised) you still have time to vote absentee. County boards of elections need to receive the application for a ballot by noon on Saturday. If the ballot is sent through the mail, it must be postmarked no later than March 16 and received by the Board of Elections within 10 days of the election.

You can also drop off absentee ballots in person at the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

You can download the application for a mail-in ballot on the Hamilton County Board of Elections web site, votehamiltoncountyohio.gov.

SAP RUN
At this time, the Sap Run will occur as planned on April 4th. We will continue to monitor the situation as the date nears and update you accordingly. Please register to volunteer or participate!
