More records set at GUC in 2017

Local university student numbers continue to grow in the Mid West with near 100 new students beginning their studies at Geraldton Universities Centre. The 2017 intake sees the number of students studying at GUC breaking through the 300 mark for the first time.

GUC is also celebrating a record 2017 intake of Aboriginal students, with a cohort of 13 new students offered places across the spectrum of CQUniversity and University of Southern Queensland courses supported through GUC, bringing to a total of 26 the number of current Aboriginal students studying at GUC across the 12 university programs – again another record. GUC welcomes 2017 tutors

GUC recently made welcome new and returning academic tutors for Term 1 2017 with the bi-annual Community of Practice induction and workshop.The Community of Practice saw 12 new tutors being inducted and introduced to the GUC. Click here

New courses begin at GUC

Two new CQUniversity courses  - Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and Bachelor of Environmental Science - have been added in 2017 to the supported offerings at GUC, providing an expanded range of local university options. Click here

Nathan employed at QLD school

Nathan Cook, who will graduate in April with a CQUniversity Bachelor of Learning Management (Primary), has been snapped up by Burpengary State School in Queensland to start his professional career as a a teacher in Year 6 classroom.
